In the early 1990’s two of our biggest general haulage customers asked if there was any way we could provide a self offload service.  We decided the best way to do this was to modify our trailers to be able to carry forklifts on the back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years as the business has grown, we now have built up a fleet of 25 Moffett Mounty forklift trucks.  Indeed as our relationship with Moffett of Ireland (now Hiab) who provide the forklifts has developed, we have been able to order bespoke vehicles.  Most recently we have begun to purchase a model of forklift which is able to move left and right by re-pointing the wheels, as well as traditionally forwards and backwards.  This allows us to offer even more flexibilty to our customers, by being able to reach more difficult to access areas.  If you’re unsure what a truck mounted forklift is then please have a look at https:\/\/www.hiab.com\/en\/moffett\/<\/a>              <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By offering a self offloading facility we are able to\nspecialise in home delivery of sheds, cabins, and rolled turf, site deliveries\nof bricks, blocks and tiles, we have even been able to offer our forklift\noffload service delivering motor cycles to a film set in France.  Essentially, whatever your business needs\ndelivered, E & SJ Walpole can deliver it.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the Spring, Summer and Autumn months we have a lot of the fleet working for Harrowden Turf Ltd, making deliveries all around the United Kingdom, to households, building sites, and garden centres using our self offload facility.          <\/p>\n\n\n\n
